Happy Holidays

On a recent trip to Denver for the holidays I photographed the Public Service Gas and Lighting building in downtown with its seasonal lighting all aglow. One of the many great lighting designs in sparkling city center.

Thanks to all my new and returning clients for another busy year filled with interesting and vibrant projects. I look forward to your new project challenges in 2016!

Happy Holidays!

Sean Collier Memorial at MIT

I had been interested in photographing this powerful memorial as soon as I had been offered it. Sean Collier was the MIT police officer shot and killed by the Boston Marathon bombers as they fled the city. This beautifully lit and designed landscape memorial pays tribute to Sean and the sacrifice he made in a design of strength and unity.
Many months went by as all the parties concerned tried to find a date to photograph this moving memorial. In the peak of fall we found that day and I photographed this view, other high angle views and ground level views featuring the inspiring lighting design set into the pavers which show the constellation of stars in the sky the night of April 18, 2013.

Lounging Around

This view of the newly renovated guest lounge at the Simon Mall at Rockingham Park NH features its brightly colored red stuffed chairs and booths with the light streaming into this quiet end of the mall’s food court space where once stood a loud carousel.

Class Plan

It is always a challenge to photograph new construction, in this case a renovated lab-lecture space.
When that space has actually not been completed yet and the construction crew is still working on their final punch list on the day of photography it’s a challenge. Though we had to rewrite our class plan, we found a way to get the 4 views we needed with a cooperative construction manager, a ramped up shooting schedule and a bit of post production to make it all come together.

Boston’s Senator

I recently completed a large installation of wall decor photographs for EY Boston and Cambridge that features iconic views of the city and its history. This set of images which I curated from my existing image files and new photography would not have been complete without representing Boston’s Senator, the late Edward M. Kennedy with a dusk view of the new Institute for the U.S. Senate building.

Chartered Territory

This graphic and utilitarian designed charter school has begun to revitalize the neighborhood in which it is built. It is a beacon for the K-4 students it serves. I photographed both interiors and exteriors of this vibrant new school project.
