When vibrant colors and neutrals coexist

High-end exhibit photography has always been a component of my architectural photography services. This view of a pharmaceutical exhibit at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is of an exhibit design based in neutral white and gray tones and featuring two vibrant color schemes for the drug lines represented. Through additional lighting and proper post processing of the image files I was able preserve the mood and feeling that the exhibit and lighting designers had in mind.

Medical marketing shoot comes to life

This marketing photography assignment was to feature the new offices of a medical bioskills lab in the Boston's Seaport district. The original warehouse building had been fully renovated into tech related office suites. My client was looking for a selection of views with people featuring their new space for an initial marketing push. Propping and styling made the not fully occupied spaces come to life. Staging each room ahead of the photography allowed the assignment to be completed all in one day.

Staying after school

This interior view of a special education facility in Billerica, MA was one of many views needed by the architect. Due to the age and sensitive nature of the student body all views had to be photographed before or after school hours. This view is from my afternoon photography and was composed to feature the floor and ceiling solutions of this group space with it's proximity to the classrooms. A view that could not have been made during the school day.
Sometimes staying after school is a good thing.

Repurposed Residential

This view is from a newly repurposed residential complex in Cambridge MA. The contemporary Wyeth apartments were created from a former private school facility and provide spacious city loft living with easy tenant parking. An electric vehicle charging station is even on the grounds!
I photographed this project for commercial real estate marketing use.

Pro Bono for Habitat ReStore

A call came into the studio from Habitat Boston to help with a marketing campaign for their ReStore locations in the metro Boston area. I have volunteered to document several home building projects over the years for Habitat, even one in my home town of Needham MA.

This was my first marketing photography shoot for Habitat. We re-arranged a ReStore location in West Roxbury, MA and I photographed this image and other variations which will run in bus shelters and in MBTA cars throughout the spring encouraging people to donate at the ReStore nearest them. A fun and satisfying project.

Snow can be an asset

The year began with an assignment to photograph interiors and exteriors of a new rehabilitation hospital in Ludlow MA. The shoot needed to be completed prior to patient move in day and only one day was available in the hospital's schedule. A snowstorm had passed through in the morning which blanketed the unfinished landscaping with a fresh coat of snow, when the sun came out we were able to complete the exteriors. So sometimes snow can be an asset.
