Class Plan
It is always a challenge to photograph new construction, in this case a renovated lab-lecture space.
When that space has actually not been completed yet and the construction crew is still working on their final punch list on the day of photography it’s a challenge. Though we had to rewrite our class plan, we found a way to get the 4 views we needed with a cooperative construction manager, a ramped up shooting schedule and a bit of post production to make it all come together.

Chartered Territory
This graphic and utilitarian designed charter school has begun to revitalize the neighborhood in which it is built. It is a beacon for the K-4 students it serves. I photographed both interiors and exteriors of this vibrant new school project.

Art Deco Challenge

The first challenge was to isolate this Art Deco icon that had been surrounded over the years by newer skyscrapers in downtown Boston’s financial district. 160 Federal Street was built in 1929 and remains one of city’s iconic designs. The second challenge was to arrange for access to the roof of an adjacent property on a beautiful summer evening to show this gem in all its finery.

Good Things Brought to Life
In this interior view of a GE facility in Massachusetts we tried to include the recently renovated interior reception along with the adjacent product showroom, tying the dynamic composition all together with the company logo.

Upstanding
Often a signature building and blue chip client is all that is needed to breathe life into what once was an underutilized part of a city. One Channel Center in Boston’s Seaport District is just one of those projects, the building is fully leased to one tenant until 2029.
